Rhys Pemberton
Lead Finance Instructor
Spent 14 years in startup finance before switching to education. Still consults with early-stage companies, which keeps his teaching grounded in current realities.
Back in 2019, we wondered why most financial education felt disconnected from real life. So we built something different. We focus on entrepreneurial skills that matter when you're actually running things, not just studying textbooks.
Our founders spent years watching people struggle with the gap between classroom theory and business reality. The answer wasn't more lectures. It was creating a space where financial concepts connect to actual entrepreneurial challenges.
We started with twelve participants in Southampton. Now we work with hundreds of people across the UK who want to understand money, business structure, and strategic thinking without the corporate jargon.
Every course evolved from direct feedback. When someone said they needed help with cash flow forecasting during growth phases, we built that module. When another wanted to understand investment readiness, we developed practical workshops around it.
These aren't company values printed on a wall somewhere. They're the principles that shape how we design courses and work with participants.
Theory matters, but only when you can apply it tomorrow. We teach concepts that work in messy real situations, not perfect case studies.
We don't promise overnight success or guaranteed outcomes. Building entrepreneurial capability takes time, and results vary based on your specific circumstances.
Financial decisions depend on your industry, stage, and goals. Our approach adapts to where you are, not where some textbook says you should be.
Our instructors come from actual business backgrounds. They've dealt with funding rounds, scaling challenges, and financial restructuring. They teach because they remember struggling with these concepts themselves.
